The Shipping Center

Hand packed orders off to your carriers: table and kanban views, barcode-scan search, bulk Send to shipping with tracking, label and picking-list PDFs, and every filter and column.

The Shipping Center is where packed orders are handed off to your carriers. Every order that has been prepared and is ready for pickup gathers here so you can create parcels, print labels and picking lists, and get each shipment on its way. Open it at https://v2.egrow.com/centers/shipping.

Before you begin

  • New to the center workflow? Start with The Order Centers, Explained.
  • Orders reach this center after they are packed and marked ready in the Processing Center.
  • To create parcels and tracking numbers automatically, connect a shipping carrier integration to your store first.

What arrives in the Shipping Center

The info card at the top of the page shows the global stage this center handles: Shipping. In plain words, an order lands here once it is packed and waiting for a carrier β€” the parcel exists physically, but no courier is moving it yet. Your job in this center is to hand it over: create the parcel in the carrier's system, print the label, and release it for pickup. Hover over the stage badge for a tooltip explaining the stage.

Stats at a glance

Four cards at the top summarize your orders: Total Orders, Paid, Pending, and Refunded. In a COD business most orders at this step are still Pending β€” the cash is collected at the door β€” so the Paid card mostly counts pre-paid or partially paid orders.

Two ways to view the center

Small tabs at the top of the page switch between two views, and eGrow remembers your choice:

  • Table view β€” a full order table with search, filters, bulk actions, and pagination (20 orders per page). This is the view described in detail below.
  • Pipeline view β€” a kanban board with one column per order stage in this center. Drag an order card from one column to another to change its stage (you can select several cards and drag them together), scroll horizontally through the columns, and load more orders per column as you go. A dashed Create stage column at the end takes you straight to stage settings.

Search and filters

The search box above the table matches order numbers, customer names, and phone numbers as you type.

Tip: the search box is barcode-scanner friendly. Scan a parcel's barcode and eGrow types it into the search and automatically selects the first matching order β€” perfect for processing a stack of parcels at the desk with a scanner in hand.

The funnel button next to the search opens the filter panel. While filters are active, the button shows a numbered badge with how many are applied, and a single click clears them all. You can filter by:

  • Date range β€” only orders created between two dates.
  • Payment β€” the order's payment status: Paid, Partially Paid, Refunded, Partially Refunded, Pending, Expired, Authorized, or Voided.
  • Global Stage β€” narrow to one of the global stages handled by this center.
  • Pipeline β€” only orders currently sitting in one specific stage of yours.
  • User β€” only orders assigned to a specific team member.

Reading the table

Each row is one order, and almost every cell is interactive:

  • Order β€” the first product's photo (with a +N badge when there are more items), the order number linking to the full order page, and an item-count chip that opens a popover listing every item with photo, SKU, price, and quantity. Special badges mark exchange orders and orders that were re-created after a failed delivery.
  • Date β€” when the order was created, in friendly form ("Today at 2:41pm", "Yesterday at …").
  • Customer β€” name and phone, with a red Blocked tag for blocked customers. Click it for a popover with the customer's email, their total number of orders, and a View Customer button.
  • Address β€” the delivery street and city, so you can spot a missing address before the parcel leaves.
  • Payment β€” a colored pill (green for paid, amber for pending, red for failed). Click it to change the payment status in a modal.
  • Status β€” the order's current stage as a pill tinted with its stage color. Click it to move the order to another stage: the modal lets you search stages, filter them by global stage, shows which one is Current, and saves your pick.
  • Add parcel β€” rows without a tracking number show a round + button. Click it to open your connected carrier's parcel form and create the shipment for that single order.
  • Shipping β€” once a parcel exists, the carrier's logo appears here; hover to see the carrier name and the tracking number.
  • Amount Due β€” the amount the courier must collect on delivery, in the order's currency.
  • Assigned users β€” avatars of the teammates working the order; a popover shows who assigned each one, when, and any notes.
  • Inbox β€” if the order has a linked WhatsApp conversation, a shortcut opens it in a new tab.

Extra columns β€” Channel, Tags, Items, and Source β€” are hidden by default and can be enabled from the table's column preferences; your layout is saved per user. Clicking anywhere else on a row opens the full order details page.

Bulk actions

Tick the checkboxes to select orders (or scan a barcode to auto-select one). The header then shows how many are selected, plus an actions menu:

  • Update Status β€” move all selected orders to a stage you pick in the bulk-update modal.
  • Assign β€” assign the selected orders to one or more team members.
  • Send to shipping β€” the heart of this center: opens your connected carrier's form and creates parcels for every selected order in one pass. You can also choose which stage the orders should move to once the parcels are created. When it succeeds, each order gets its tracking number and the carrier logo appears in its row. A dedicated Send to shipping button also appears at the top of the page whenever orders are selected.
  • Print Labels β€” generate a PDF of shipping labels for the selected orders; it opens in a new tab, ready to print.
  • Print Picking List β€” generate a PDF picking list of all the products in the selected orders, so the warehouse can gather everything in one walk.
  • Delete Selected β€” permanently delete the selected orders, after a confirmation prompt.

Important: Send to shipping requires a carrier integration connected to your account. Without one, add tracking numbers from the order page or move orders forward with Update Status instead.

Creating an order manually

The Create Order button at the top opens a slideover with the complete order form β€” customer, products, payment, and more. Orders created here are automatically assigned to you. Save to add the order, or cancel to discard it.

Day-to-day workflow

  1. Open the Shipping Center in table view and, if useful, filter by pipeline or assigned user to see just your batch.
  2. Select the packed orders that are ready for pickup β€” by checkbox, or by scanning their labels.
  3. Click Send to shipping to create the parcels with your carrier in bulk, then Print Labels and attach them.
  4. Verify each row now shows the carrier logo and tracking number.
  5. Hand the parcels to the carrier at pickup.

Where orders go next

Once a parcel is with the carrier and the order advances to the delivery stage, it appears in the Delivery Center, where your team tracks it until it reaches the customer. Orders come into this center from the Processing Center, which itself receives them from the Confirmation Center.
