Your product catalog is the backbone of everything in eGrow β orders, the AI Agent, pricing, and stock all read from it. This guide covers the Products area end to end: the list, creating a product, and every single option on the product form and the detail page. Open it at https://v2.egrow.com/products.
The products list
The main page shows all your products in a table. Each row has a thumbnail + title, a status pill (Active / Draft / Archived), an inventory summary ("N in stock for M variants"), and the product's category. Click any row to open its full detail page.
Status tabs, search & filters
- Status tabs at the top β All, Active, Draft β each with a live count.
- Search to find a product by title.
- Filter (funnel icon) opens a panel to narrow by Status, Stock (In stock / Low stock / Out of stock), Tags, and Category. A badge shows how many filters are active, and a bar tells you how many results match β with a one-click Clear all filters.
Toolbar actions
- Import β bulk-add products from a CSV file.
- Export β download your catalog (respects your active filters, so you can export just a subset).
- More actions β Pull products (import from a connected store's catalog) and Enable AI for all (see AI below).
- Add product β opens the create form (covered next).
Bulk actions
Tick the checkbox on one or more rows and a menu appears to act on the selection at once:
- Enable AI / Disable AI for the selected products.
- Delete selected β removes them in one step (with a confirmation).
Important β AI visibility. The AI Agent can only see and sell products that have AI enabled. Use Enable AI for all (More actions) to switch on your whole catalog, or the bulk action to enable a selection. If the agent can't find a product, this is the first thing to check.
Creating a product
Click Add product. The form is grouped into cards β here is every field, top to bottom.
Basics
- Title β the product name customers and agents see. Required.
- Status β Active (live and usable) or Draft (hidden while you finish it).
- Category β click Browse to assign a product category; it groups products and helps the AI and analytics.
- Description β a rich-text editor (bold, lists, links, etc.) for the full product description.
Media
Upload one or more images. The first image becomes the product's thumbnail in the list and in chat. You can also attach images to individual variants later.
Payment requirement
How the customer pays for this product β a key COD setting:
- Pay on delivery β the default; the customer pays cash when the parcel arrives.
- Fully paid β the customer must pay the full amount up front.
- Partially paid β the customer pays a deposit up front. Choosing this reveals a Partial pay amount field (the deposit). eGrow validates that the deposit can't exceed the product price.
Tags & link
- Tags β free-form labels for organizing and filtering your catalog.
- Link β an external product URL (e.g. your storefront page), which the AI Agent can send to customers.
Inventory
Turn on Track quantity to manage stock for this product. Then set:
- Per-location quantities β a table of every location with an Available count you can edit. Stock is tracked per location.
- SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) β your internal product code.
- Barcode β ISBN, UPC, GTIN, etc.
- Continue selling when out of stock β when on, orders can still be placed at zero stock (backorder); when off, the product is blocked once it hits zero.
Pricing
- Price β what you charge the customer.
- Compare-at price β the original/"was" price shown struck through to signal a discount. It must be greater than the price.
- Cost per item β what the product costs you. eGrow uses price and cost to compute Profit and Margin automatically and show them live as you type.
Variants & options
If a product comes in several forms, add options like Color or Size, each with its own values (Red, Blueβ¦; S, M, Lβ¦). eGrow generates a variant for every combination, and each variant can carry its own:
- Price and cost,
- SKU and barcode,
- stock quantity per location,
- and its own image.
A product with no options has a single default variant behind the scenes. Click Save at the top when done β a Draft stays hidden; an Active product is immediately usable everywhere.
The product detail page
Clicking a product opens its detail page (/products/<id>), where you edit everything above plus a few extras, organized into cards:
- Inventory β the per-variant / per-location stock table, with the Inventory tracked switch.
- Pricing β price, compare-at, cost, with live profit and margin.
- Media β add, remove, and reorder images.
- Variants β add or edit options and their variants.
- Status, Tags, and Category β in the side column for quick edits.
- Connections β set this product's external variant IDs in your connected integrations, so eGrow knows which item in your store maps to which eGrow variant. (You must save the product once first to create its default variant.)
Detail-page actions
- Save β apply your changes.
- Duplicate β clone the product as a starting point for a similar one.
- Pull / Push β sync this product with a connected store: Pull brings updates from the store into eGrow, Push sends your eGrow version to the store.
- Delete β remove the product (with confirmation).
Tip: keep price, stock, and variants accurate here β the AI Agent quotes live from the catalog, orders calculate totals from it, and your analytics read product performance from it. Stale product data leads to wrong quotes and mis-priced orders.
