The Users & Teams area is where you invite the people who work in your eGrow account, control what each of them can see and do, and organize them into teams. You’ll find it in your account Settings. This guide explains the whole system — how access works, how to invite and manage users, and how to build teams and assign permissions.
Open it here: https://v2.egrow.com/settings/users-and-teams/users (Settings → Users & Teams).
How access works in eGrow
Before inviting anyone, it helps to understand the model. eGrow controls access in two ways:
- Admins — a user marked as Admin has full access to everything in the account. Give this only to owners and managers you fully trust.
- Team members — everyone else gets access only through the teams they belong to. A team carries a set of permissions, and a member inherits the permissions of every team they’re in. A user with no admin flag and no team can sign in but can’t do much.
So the workflow is: create teams with the right permissions → invite users and assign them to those teams. Permissions are grouped into these categories:
- Lead, Deal, Contacts, Conversations, Campaigns, Automations, Products, Integrations, Analytics, Activities, Users, and Settings.
Before you begin
- You must be an Admin (or have the Users and Settings permissions) to manage users and teams.
- It’s easiest to create your teams first, then invite users straight into them — but you can do it in either order.
Part 1: Managing users
Go to https://v2.egrow.com/settings/users-and-teams/users. The page has two views you can switch between:
- Active — people who have accepted and can log in.
- Invitees — pending invitations that haven’t been accepted yet.
Invite a new user
- Click Invite new user.
- Enter the person’s email address (required).
- Optionally turn on Admin to give them full access. Leave it off for regular staff.
- Under Teams, tick the teams they should belong to. You can create a new team right here if you need one.
- Click Save to send the invitation.
The invitation appears under Invitees until the person accepts it, at which point they move to Active.
Edit a user’s access
From the users list, open a user to edit their teams and admin role. You can:
- Toggle Admin on or off.
- Add or remove the user from teams — this instantly changes what they can access.
Save your changes and they take effect immediately.
Reset a user’s password
If someone is locked out, open their entry and use Reset password to generate a new password, then share it with them securely.
Remove a user or cancel an invitation
- To remove someone who has access, delete the user from the Active list. They immediately lose access to the account.
- To withdraw an invitation that hasn’t been accepted, delete it from the Invitees list.
Part 2: Managing teams
Go to https://v2.egrow.com/settings/users-and-teams/teams. A team bundles three things: a name, its members, and its permissions. Members of a team can do exactly what the team’s permissions allow.
Create a team
- Click Create team.
- Give the team a name (for example,
Sales,Support, orConfirmation Agents). - In the Members section, click Add member and pick the users who belong to this team. You can remove members here too.
- In the Permissions section, choose what this team is allowed to do. Permissions are organized by category (Lead, Deal, Contacts, Conversations, Campaigns, Automations, Products, Integrations, Analytics, Activities, Users, Settings). Tick individual permissions, or use Select all to grant everything. A counter shows how many of the total permissions are selected.
- Save the team.
Anyone in the team — now or added later — immediately gains that set of permissions.
Edit or delete a team
- Edit a team anytime to rename it, add or remove members, or change its permissions. Changes apply to all its members right away.
- Delete a team to remove it. Its members lose the access that team granted (they keep whatever other teams give them).
Use the search box to find a team quickly when you have many.
Tip: build teams around real roles — e.g. a Sales team with Leads, Deals, and Conversations permissions; a Support team with Conversations only; a Managers team with Analytics and Settings. Then invite each person into the team that matches their job. It’s far easier to manage than setting permissions per person.
Part 3: Member presence
Open https://v2.egrow.com/settings/users-and-teams/presence to control how online/offline status is tracked for your team. Here you set the inactivity timeout — how many minutes a member can be idle before they’re automatically marked inactive (away). This keeps presence indicators and assignment logic accurate, so work isn’t routed to someone who has stepped away.
Part 4: Commissions
Open https://v2.egrow.com/settings/users-and-teams/commissions to configure commissions for your team members — the rules that determine what each person earns on their work. Set these up once and eGrow applies them across your team.
Best practices
- Give Admin sparingly. Admins can do everything, including managing billing and other users — reserve it for owners and trusted managers.
- Manage access with teams, not one-off settings. Create teams that mirror real roles and assign people to them; it scales and stays consistent.
- Grant the least access needed. Only tick the permission categories a role actually requires.
- Review regularly. Remove users who leave, and check team membership periodically at https://v2.egrow.com/settings/users-and-teams/users.
- Set a sensible inactivity timeout so presence reflects who’s really available.
